The Two Main Reasons Executives Should Share Their Own Content on LinkedIn

Nov 10, 2022

There are two main reasons a corporate leader should share their own content on LinkedIn. One (obvious point) is it helps marketing and sales efforts. But the other is that it helps your organisation's people and culture efforts too.

It's becoming harder and harder for leaders to get face to face with their various teams. Hybrid working means less time face to face. This has a knock-on effect to leadership and culture. How do you continue to build culture and engage as a leader in the organisation if you can't get in front of your people very often?

You can do it right here on LinkedIn. By sharing compelling and value-driven thought leadership content, you can practically reach your whole organisation and do it regularly. That is a huge opportunity to reinforce your leadership as well as the part of your company culture that you want to highlight and strengthen.

Not everyone is in the office anymore, but everyone is on LinkedIn. They check-in, they look at what's in their feed, and they are engaging with content already. Why not yours? Be bold. Dare to be the one sharing something of value for them to engage with.

It's a great leadership strategy to share more original and engaging content on LinkedIn more often. It will help with marketing and sales, sure, but that's not the only reason to do it.

Think people and culture.

Think about it as part of your strategic solution to building strong teams and a strong culture in this new hybrid way of working.
